Is it possible to come off insulin I'm on 4 injections aday and I've had my flu jab yesterday and been real sick n bad today why????
 
Probably not Patrick. Your sickness may or may not be related to diabets/insulin. Some people have a flu jab and suffer with some flu like symptoms. Hopefully you should feel better soon.

I guess you know that if you come off insulin even for a day or so your blood sugar will rocket if you a full T1. If it goes too far you are into Ketones etc; not good. Hopefully the flu reaction will fade quickly.
 
Patrick it is very dangerous to come off insulin so dont do it. When i was first diagnosed i had a bout of tonsilitis and my gp told me to come off insulin as i wasn't eating, this nearly killed me i was, as the hospital put it mere hours away from coma as i had Ketoacidosis. follow your sick day rules, keep taking your insulin and seek advice from your diabetic team. hope you feel better soon.

Patrick, as to whether you can come off insulin, we don't know :?: We don't know your background. How long have you been on insulin, how has your diabetes progressed :?:
I came off insulin, but I did it gradually, with support in place.
