what do you mean "real type 2"? … Type 2 diabetes is a disease in which your pancreas does not produce enough insulin, or your body does not properly use the insulin it makes. As a result, glucose (sugar) builds up in your blood instead of being used for energy.after reading so much here and there , i realise that it is difficult to determine the real type 2. maybe in the near future, the medical world could be more precise.
I have to say I'm 26st 4lb, I gained about 2 stones after i was prescribed insulin (humalin m3) but through a proper calorie controlled diet i have lost 4st 2lb since january. So your weight can be controlled. If you carry on not taking your insulin and having BG levels of 20 or above, you are going to do your body MORE damage than a couple of extra stones will do. The choice is simple, take the insulin and bring your levels down while eating a proper calorie controlled diet, or let vanity kill you, because thats what its boiling down to. Sorry but sometimes the truth isn't nice.
What you have been told is healthy is not healthy specially for a diabetic. cut out the mash and other carbs and it may surprise you.I eat healthy I'm not sure just cutting out mash will lower my sugar levels enough. I walk every day for an hour even though it's very painful and that doesn't seem to lower sugars levels either.
