Hi,

Have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes roughly 4 months now. Its being treated with Metformin. I am also being prescribed statin's for cholestrol and aspirin to keep my blood thin.
I am 49 years old and obese.
I am in the process of trying to lose weight and have been taking regular exercise, something i had'nt done in years.

My blood sugar level is difficult to control being anywhere between 8.2 to 14.7.

Have a long way to go i feel to being on control of my diabetes.

Any tips would be welcome.

Thanks.

Crackit.

Hi Crackit
those of us who are getting on top of this thing most of the time, find we have to control our carbohydrate intake. This can be portion control, GI control or reduced carbing. Look through the success stories thread for ideas.

Hi Crackit,

This is my story of Type 2 reversal:

You may find something to help you in that.

Reducing your starchy carbohydrate intake - i.e. cereals, bread, potatoes, rice, pasta etc will help you very quickly to improve your blood glucose readings.
