Hello all. Ive been diabetic for 15 years T2 but only now have control. I have collateral damage as a result. I am on a Trial with Sanofi testing Glargine 3 times stronger than normal, and inject once a day.

Evening everyone. I've been T1 since 1971. The reason I'm here now is that I have some good news but thought I ought to introduce myself first.

Hi my name is Fiona and I am 45 years young. Not diabetic but had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant with my son. My blood sugar numbers are rising so I want to avoid diabetes for as long as I can. I am going to try the low carb plan as I had fertility issues as well and apparently this will help.

I am a qualified chef and have worked at many different places, I finally got to own my own cafe for about 2.5 years then I had a baby and it was difficult to do both jobs properly. I sold the cafe but now work at another one a couple days of the week. I love being a Mum but its good to go to work and have some adult time too
 
I'm 53 and I have lived all my life in England, UK, apart from 18-19 years living in London and 6-7 years in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, I have lived in the rest of the time in Derby itself. I have a cat called Ares who is 2½ and is very vocal when he thinks he's not being given the due attention he feels is necessary. I currently do not play any sport but will be taking up swimming end of March beginning April of this year, other than that I love watching football (specifically Derby County for my sins) and tennis. I like any type of music so long as it's good, so this can include anything and everything from rock to classical, with the notable exception of rap, my current favourites are David Bowie; The Cure; Alice Cooper; The Who and Depeche Mode/Dave Gahan. but these often change almost daily dependent on my mood with one exception which is the first on my list. I have visited the following places: Australia - Sydney and it surrounding areas; Belgium - Brussels; Caribbean - Barbados; Greece - Athens, Agistri and Mykonos; France - Paris; Germany - Bielefeld; Holland - Amsterdam; India - Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, Kerala, Jaipur and Mumbai: Italy - Florence; Morocco - Agadir and Marrakesh; Romania - Constanta; Spain - Barcelona, Tenerife and Fuerteventura; Turkey - Istanbul and Fethiye; Ukraine - Odessa; And within the UK: Cornwall, Devon, Brighton, Edinburgh/Glasgow, Cumbria, Yorkshire and Norfolk. I am a retired nurse, currently studying Proofreading and copy-editing. Think that's enough to introduce me other than to say that I am just coming up to my 10th anniversary as a diabetic, not to be marked with a party as I find being diabetic a real challenge.
