Hello everyone,

My name is Bill and I have type 2 diabetes. I was diagnosed approximately 6 months after suffering a cardiac arrest on 7 June 2015. (You never forget a date when that happens to you.)

I’m trying to tackle my diabetes with dietary changes, more exercise in and outside the gym and by taking Metformin.

I’ll get there... I’ve promised myself I will.

Oh, and I’m Australian.

Yes, a black lab

Microsoft at the moment but may consider apple in the future

I'm very much into triathlons so i'd say swimming, biking and running

Nope, but when i do i'm like the incredible hulk!! haha

- Do you have any tattoos or piercings? If so, where?

Nope and don't plan on having any either. I did have my ear pierced when i was a kid but it has long sealed up!

I have a huge diverse music list...from trance to indie but if i had to list a favourite then one band that i'd go crazy at a concert with would be Coldplay and 30 seconds to mars!

- What would you say your favourite music genre is?

Favourite i guess would have to sit within pop even though i'd go from rock to classic.

- What is your favourite flag?

Hmm...i guess i'd have to be patriotic and say the UK but i do quite like the Greek flag!

Yes, loads as a kid to France and more recently this year to Switzerland

Yes - did you mean with a person or item!? haha

Yes, the slow gradual build up moisturisers..still smelt fake!

- Do you work? If so, as what? Have worked as a self employed artist for the last few years. Previously a phlebotomist/health care assistant, PA at a National Park and Customer Care Manager for a large retailer.
- What do you like most about yourself? I'm not a shirker
- What do you like least about yourself? I have become very anxious since diagnosis and find that hard to deal with.

I’m actually an oldie as I joined some years ago but I’m quite shy, so tend to keep a low profile.
I’m 56 and work part time as a domestic on a delivery suite. I was diagnosed with type 2 11 years ago but it was no great surprise as it’s been in my family for 3 generations (that I know of). Despite it being familial I’ve spent the last 11years struggling and denying my diabetes. My last Hba1C was 12.2 and the ends of my toes and fingers are slightly numb
 
Hello everyone I’m Sharon and I live in Andover Hampshire I’ve been type 2 for four years now and I still don’t get it I’m on so many pills I rattle my reading have been between 8 , 21 I give up trying to get it in order the only time my bloods are good is when I don’t eat
