Fascinated by people who like Sydney. I live 693 kms from the joint and that is just NOT far enough away :) My father lives in Brisbane. I spent a lot of time in Sydney in 1987, before it became what it is today!!! I loved the opera house and the laid-back attitude when I was there. And the Blue Mountains.

Welcome and love your spirit :)
Thank you so much! I have been diabetic for 37 years now, and my humour stems from simply watching doctors and nurses lose their cool over my glucose levels. They give me slight injections and I end up going hypoglycemic on them. They seriously have a hard time, poor things!!!

You are such a lovely, caring person. Good luck for your friend. Weight loss is more complicated for us as ketone formation is contra-indicated as a general rule. But the best thing for your friend is exercise to start off with, and to take things easy. And to work with his diabetes clinic nurse, to get the weight off diet-wise, as she/he can refer him to a dietician, all on the good old NHS, free of charge. Best wishes.
