Hi Myvanwy here. Diagnosed as type 2, two years ago, which is caused by side effects of steroid in my Asthma medication which obviously I cannot stop. Frustrated that this side effect is not explained to all asthmatics as something to watch out for. HPA1C has improved but recent test after lockdown has gone up, probably due to shielding / lack of exercise. Advice from GP is variable, at start of my diabetic journey I was told to eat lots of carrots and low fat yoghurt. Anyone else had similar experience?

hey and welcome @myvanwy, i was diagnosed nearly 2 years ago also and i too suffer from asthma. I never thought it can be a contrubuting factor as my diet was pretty shocking before i started taking type2 seriously.

Having a struggle balancing BGL exercise diet and trying to lose weight. It is a
Catch 22 more I exercise then I have
Hypos then I Have to treat the lows. I have a freestyle Libra scanner which I find to be great. My problem today is that the sensor
works on the freestyle reader but will not scan on my iPhone. Any suggestions would be gratefully received Thank you

I don’t suffer fools - unless they’re under 18 and I have to teach them . These days I’m a lot more patient than I used to be but even when I was younger, I would put someone back in their box, so to speak, rather than get angry.

Just pierced ears. Love tattoos (really good ones!) but I’m a chicken.

I’m a classically trained ex professional musician. I don’t listen to much music (busman’s holiday) but I’ll happily play anything you put in front of me. The more acrobatic the better!

The cross of St David. - Only because it isn’t represented on the Union Jack where as the crosses of St Andrew and St George are. I’m not a Welsh nationalist as such but it does seem a bit unfair.

Guide camp. Hated every second of it.
