Hi @Carina1962 , like @In Response said, this is a very nasty forum gremlin we've tried to get rid of for years, without success.Sorry I have posted on the wrong place. I am on medication only not insulin. Where would I post this question? I'm a newbie.

Is that a typo or have you lost 5 stones 3 lbs (73lbs) in one month? That's a rather large weigh loss in such a short time, which is why I am asking.I am doing fasting diet, but i am not on medication i a trying to control with diet, in a month i have lost 5stone 3lbs fasting for me i eat 6 hours out the day 18 hours when not sleeping i drink water, going by your DN i would take her advice
I have been a Type 2 diabetic for 13 years. I'm obese and also have fatty liver. I've recently been reading up a lot on Fasting and how good it is for the body. I have started slowly by doing 2 days a week of skipping breakfast and want to eventually skip breakfast altogether. My DN has advised me against it and wants to put me on Trulicity (weight loss injection) to enable me to lose weight and lower my BS levels. It would be a last resort for me to lose weight as I have literally tried everything. Can anyone please advise?
Hi,Yes fasting is safe for most T2's
However Jardiance is know to cause hypo's in some people so it might be worth speaking to the nurse about reducing your dose or cutting it out altogether before trying. I'm guessing that is why she was against it.
I assume you are regularly testing your blood sugar levels so you will be able to see if and when you are going too low.
