Issue with Libre - blank screen

Ok just fixed the problem on my iPhone.

1. Remove the app on your phone by holding finger over the Libre icon and then ‘x’ to delete..

2. Reinstall Libre View from purchased apps in App finder. To do this press your profile pic or initials, in the top right of App Store

3. Select Libre View from drop down and reinstall- you will have to enter your account details, or get a password sent if forgotten.

4. Scan existing or new Sensor

Discovered this just 40 mins ago. Started new sensor on Wednesday so initially thought issue with that. I’m Iphone 11 and presume my App updates are automatic. Occasionally screen will show log book but when I try to scan sensor screen goes blank again. Have a number of strips for my meter but will call Health centre today to get more. Is it now just a waiting game until Abbot fix this issue?

Can you get through to the Bluetooth screen on the app? Took me a while to figure out how to get started, but need to get to the Bluetooth screen (Bluetooth symbol at bottom of app Home Screen), then click on the + to select CGM then Freestyle 2 and then scan your sensor. Mine wouldn’t scan first few times, but persevered and it worked. Now I don’t need to scan it again as it’s just transmitting automatically like a proper CGM.
Thank you, managed to do it & it’s sending a reading to my smartwatch & phone every minute

Hi, just as an update to everyone on what's happening, I'm a Swift Ui developer and have some contacts with the developers of the Libre apps. It looks like they pushed an update to the app to allow the Libre 2 app to be pushed data from the Libre 2 sensors without scanning, basically to act like the Libre 3 system. They don't have an ETA :banghead:

Hey! I literally just posted about the same thing!!
Yes, I’m having the same problem too. I managed to get through to someone on the phone after being on hold for 2 hours!!!
They have said they updated the app and it’s gone wrong and they have people working on it at the moment. However, they are unsure of when it will be up and running again
The answer (at least for iphone users) appears below - delete the app, and reinstall using the 'purchased' tab in the app store. New version of the app is different, but picks up existing sensor.

Yeah i'm having the same issue. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.

It's probably worth contacting Abbott to register that you are affected. In the event of having to start a new sensor you should be able to claim a no-cost replacement.
