Does anyone else out there itch? I don't have any skin conditions, I am T1 diagnosed 15years ago, I do have dry skin but I apply moisturiser every day, I use moisturising shower gels, And generally take care of my skin, but I get itchy, it drives me mad!

yeah at the moment i am just one big itch from head to toe.  i've been type 1 for 21 yrs but this is the worst so far driving me bonkers . have creams , lotions & potions from drs .

I have an itch in the middle of my back. Nothing to see on the skin, the doctor just said it was something I will get and to keep it moisturused.

A bit late to post but it might help , like you I itch all day long on upper torso , so bad I could take a wire brush to my skin , my dr things she has manage to find the reason for my itchy skin after lotion ,potion, and food ellimation I am have anaemic no iron reserves and low iron levels, taking iron and the itch has abated.

Hi I get this a lot sometimes it gets to the point were I think it's going to drive me insane. I have made myself bleed from scratching on more than one occasion. I also have psoriasis on one party of my body and I've had this since I was little. The best advise I can give is to stick to non scented moisturisers and shower gels Tec as the scent that they put in makes the itching worse. I tend to go for the simple range as there is nothing added to it, also my doctor gave me some balneum cream which works wonders and is very mild so doesn't damage your skinny gets rid of that urge to scratch.

Hope this helps

A burning rash all over my torso was what led to my Type 2 diagnosis in January this year. It's come back twice with decreasing intensity when I've relaxed BG control on holiday..

I was prescribed a strong topical steroid cream to treat it which did nothing. I eventually found relief treating it with clotrimazol cream mixed with hydrocortisone 2:1. I alternated this with lying in the bath and covering myself with live natural yoghurt and staying there until it dried (then rinse it off because its dairy and it smells evil if you don't completely remove all traces of it from your body.) I used the clotrimazol/hydrocortisone twice a day. The yoghurt once a day. In between treatments I was still itchy so I would apply aloe vera gel or palmers cocoa butter. Smells lovely!

Keeping BG under control (last A1c was 40) keeps the itch away.

Hi frosty
You really need to get this checked out by GP or nurse because it can take a lomg time to heal and could cause complications It is better to use something prescribed rather than any cream you can buy over the counter Take care
