Ah, I called him ‘the Legendary John E Green’. I did regard him as a legend. We met at an event at head office once. Along with Judith.
Always found him wise, determined, ( he overcame so much with fortitude and grit) knowledgeable, and amusing. We didn’t always agree, but had, (what I hope) , was a mutual respect for each other.
So sorry for the loss to you, his family, but also to our online community, of such a Legend.
Rest peacefully. John.

My condolences to your family. Thank you so much for passing on the sad news. John was a man of faith which he was delighted to share. I hope his faith is of comfort in these sore times. I said elsewhere that we were blessed to have known him as a friend even virtually.
I have always regarded John as my mate on the forum and have had many, many chats on various topics, not just his conditions, but other stuff, his time around my area and when I was down, I knew he would be there to support me.
I believe John was one of the 'good guys' in this world. If someone deserved wings, it was him.
His historical knowledge amongst a lot of subjects was very knowledgeable and his moral and ethical support was excellent.
My condolences to you and your family, celebrate his life, as he would want you to.
I will say a prayer for him.
Thanks for letting us know.
I will miss him so much.
As always my best wishes mate.
That is very gracious of you.Thank you so so much he often talked about you and classed you as a good friend and I know he’s smiling down on all you and us as a family xxx
Sorry to hear the news of John .
I only knew him briefly through the long chat thread
Always came across as stoic, honest & a proper gentleman
I always say in life we have a soundtrack, of all the highlights of our lives
I think the memories from those we leave behind are the official soundtracks of our lives
I think those memories, personal and shared
Are the things that get those we loved through all the dark nights
Until some sunshine pierces the gloom, and we can look back and laugh, love & cry at so many lovely memories & moments of one much loved & a life well lived
I pray your wait between the sadness of his loss & the time you can enjoy the memories , when you remind yourselves how good he was to be around, is as short as possible.
Those we love are never truly lost if we keep them in our heart & minds.
Deep condolences for your loss
Best wishes to all.
