I’m a type 1 diabetic with uncontrolled blood sugar levels and also got neuropathy problems and got Gastroperris and can’t eat much food but I am over weight and I’ve been reading about Keto Pure tablets and it doesn’t say if I can take them to help me loose weight. What would you recommend as even though I hardly eat anything and I am mainly bed bound due to pain and suffering sickness.
I thought Ketosiss was very dangerous and in the past over the years I’ve been hospitalised with Ketones. I’m now 53 and been type 1 diabetic since I was 14 years old, please help Jade0106

Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is very dangerous
Ketosis is not - they are different things.
Yes they both involve ketones - but DKA also has high blood sugars and dehydration as well (I think) which makes for a very bad combination.

Although I don't do the keto diet I would go near such pills, they are much more likely to hurt your wallet rather than help. some Type 1's are doing a low carb or keto diet for better control (@Mel dCP I think), but they are following a keto diet and not some "supposed" quick fix pill.
Many T2's on these forums also follow low carb or keto diet and have found it has helped with weight loss (where it was needed).
Note: for T1's to go low carb/keto you really do need to be able to carb count and be able to adjust your insulin dependent on what you eat - I also do not know how gastroparesis changes things.

Edit: fixing typos

Hi @Jade0106
I follow a mainly carnivore way of eating that keeps me in ketosis for most of the time but wouldn't bother with these pills.
You'll mainly end up peeing out the ketones as your body won't be using them effectively. Waste of money for the most part.

Hypos, rude people, ignorance and grey days.
Hi @Jade0106 CAn you tell us more about your day to day t1 management, so what insulin/regime are you following ?

Uncontrolled levels can be for many reasons, however controlling your levels will help with weight loss, as you can over compensate on hypos, swing high, low and so the pattern continues. Have you done any courses to help with your diabetes management like DAFNE - Dose Adjustment for Normal Eating and do you get much support from your nurse/consultant ?

Personally I wouldn't touch keto pills, i'd prefer to do things slowly and carefully through diet and exercise.

Hi @Jade0106, sorry to hear you have some troubles.
From my reading but not as health professional advice or opinion:
People who suffer from gastroparesis tell me that it is difficult to predict when the food they eat will cause a rise in blood sugar.
In that sense the lower the blood sugar rise maybe the better because the less insulin you need to take for carbs and the less risk of hypers and hypos..
But that idea and going on a low carb diet or a very low carb diet to try to lose weight is something you would need to discuss with your doctor, a specialist doctor who understands what is involved with these diets.
I am not sure which country you live in and therefore if there is anyone with that expertise close by.
I hope the above gives you some sort of answer and, perhaps with more information, a better answer might be forthcoming.
Best Wishes.

Keto pills are basically very expensive wee - the only way to get into the fat burning of ketosis is by restricting carbohydrate intake. Your body won't burn the ketones in the pills if it's still running on glucose - you'll pee them out, and it'll show as positive on a ketone urine stick, giving you the impression you're in ketosis when you're not.
