Excellent work, well done!Hi all, just wanted to share, I don't get much support from my diabetic nurse or the NHS in general, they just want to shove more pills in my body, I was taking to a friend of my husband, who suggested keto, he has type 2 also, I thought I would give it a go, and wow, it has changed my blood sugar readings by 30%, i had gestential diabetes, which stayed with me, I was 10 lb 4 when pregnant, and had lost over, I think it's because my bloods were very high, i had bloods of 12.5 and didn't move much, I've been doing keto for just over a week, and my readings are 6.5 - 8.8 ranging, I feel so much better, I have also dropped 2 of my 6 tablets. if anyone is struggling, give keto a whirl, it was very hard for me at first I was so upset, as its such a change in diet, but I'm getting the hang of it, I think, lots to learn, the only way for me is up, and the bloods down, xx
Excellent work, well done!
Jo (Also keto)
Hi Kt043kt congrats on finding and implementing Keto.
Unfortunately the vast majority of us are in the same position regarding our GPs, Diabetic Specialist Nurses etc. Often it is only by eating almost completely contrary to their advice that we control our Diabetes.
I'm only eating on the fringes of Keto 20gms to 40gms of Carbs per day6, but I know exactly what my food does to my BG through my BG testing before and 2hrs after first bite for every meal for the first 6 months.
I do less testing these days except when I eat something different.
Excellent work, well done!
