Does anyone have any advice about the best monitoring systems please? I'm confused and can't decide between blood, pee or breath testers. Which one's work best?

Hi @LindsayJane - just trying to understand what your looking for so are you looking for a blood glucose meter or a ketone meter ?

Hello lindsayjane, there is some good information here

I use the on-call duo to measure ketones by blood, the monitor isn't too expensive but the strips are!
Thank you for the link - this is really useful!

Are you taking insulin @LindsayJane ? It's essential if you are taking insulin and running high bg levels to check ketones, in which case your DSN can provide you with either strips or a meter.

No, I'm not taking insulin.

@LindsayJane is there anything in particular that's a concern for you with ketones ? It's more common for an insulin dependent diabetic to develop ketones than a type 2 diabetic.

It's not reall a concern. I'm trying to achieve ketosis through diet and want to know if I'm doing it right or not.
