Ketosis rocks for BG control

Ketostix you should be able to get on prescription if you are diabetic. Well, at least if you are T1. Maybe not if you are T2.

I was going to ask if the blood ketone meter supplies were on prescription but from reading further above, I guess not, quid a pop. My blood ketone meter I got for free at DAFNE is sitting unused for want of strips to put in it.
I get my ketone strips off ebay - wouldn't be fair to ask for them from Dr as I'm using them to check diet.

I get mine off ebay. I used to snap up all the out-of-date ones at a massive discount, but Jimmy Moore has created a new market for ketosis testing, and there is a lot more competition for the strips.
I used to buy mine from Germany but this year they've raised the price from €13 to €32 now buying from NZ - http://www.pharmacydirect.co.nz/Optium-Freestyle-KETONES-TEST-STRIPS-10.html?&partner=sli&bid=3 be careful so they don't get stuck at customs, been lucky most times.
