I have been diagnosed Type 2 for about 10 years but my condition is now breaking down my body and I am unable to exercise or indeed do very much. Somehow I need to get diabetes under control pretty quickly and lose a stone. Aint so easy at my age and with my inactivity

Hi Leon, welcome

Can you tell us a bit more about yourself? HbA1c history, medications, diet? Hopefully we can help you improve your condition.

Welcome ... you're never to old to live healthier.
I'm in my sixties so just a youngster in your eyes but I feel old right now with multiple problems.
Things were getting worse listening to the docs and nurses so I decided to try out stuff people here were saying they were doing and improving on even though it sounded a bit odd.
So I went low carb high fat and viola .... massive improvement in my weight loss lower blood pressure bad cholesterol going down good cholesterol going up sugars under control and steady and less medication for everything.
We're all different but it qworks for me and many others here .... it didn't even make sense at first now it makes perfect sense and has become a way of life .... press here > http://www.dietdoctor.com/lchf

Just saying Hi and welcome , from an almost 68 year old who is doing just fine and dandyo on a low carb diet, it does make a massive difference :)

Hi. Diet is the key. If you haven't already taken action then keep the carbs in your diet down as well as portion size. Have protein and fats to make up for the carbs.
