Are you pleased with the result? I love the blue shade.

They forgot to write your dose on there !!
When I was first diagnosed, I was given a card that said something along the lines of "this person has type 1 diabetes which is treated with insulin" and then had a place to put the dose. That's it, one place to write my insulin to carb ratio for eating, insulin sensitivity factor for corrections, basal dose (and time), sick rules, ...
Despite the card having the NovoRapid logo on it, I decided whoever created it had absolutely no idea about basal-bolus regime. The dose part of the card only worked if you were on a fixed dose.

Wow you're brave @himtoo !! Very smart work, how long did it take ?
1 15 minute visit to discuss , a 15 minute follow up to confirm the rough design of the tattoo and pay a deposit and then an hour for the actual tattoo -- total cost £ 80 and she will be donating £15 to JDRF as part of the tat1d program on instagram

I reckon the day will come when insulin pumps will be regularly inserted under the skin
along with glucose sensors.
You could have a tattoo of numbers - 3 x3 row/column of 1 to 9.
Press 1 for one unit of insulin etc !!

I absolutely love it and it is all a part of actually telling the world I am proud to be T!D ( something i have not always been able to say for most of my life )

I love that tatt! Really nice colour, and such meaning.

I have various tattoos and the only ones that hurt were the ones on the tops of my feet, but they are also my favourites so I just went with the pain until it was done. The artist said it was because he was working so close to the bones in my feet.

I like the idea of the diabetes tatt, and I happen to have an untattooed arm. I'll have a think.

That said, my real name is David and has been since 1972. So well done.

@himtoo . Now that’s an impressive tattoo you’ve gone and got yourself.
Great to not only see the tattoo but also see you on the forum.
It’ll be short sleeves for as long as possible now.:):):):).
The blue looks great even if it isn’t your fave colour ;););).

I love it!
