Hi all I'm 5ft7 and 17st I'm thinking of only eating lettuce on a OMAD a Diet, hopefully I will lose 10st and be healthy asap. Does anyone know how to suppress hunger? I don't want to be overly hungry while I do this and I want to control my diabetes without medical supervision.

You would have a BMI of 15.3 if you succeeded in your aims and that would be very unhealthy

what type of diabetes do you have, and what meds (if any) re you on?

being 5' 7" tall and 7 stones is not healthy. Lettuce is not a complete food and you will become malnourish quickly just eating it.

Please tell me there’s not actually someone out there recommending a lettuce only diet? Why not just follow a normal structured diet, do some exercise, go to the gym when they open. A structured consistent diet will be far more beneficial & a lot healthier in the long run. It will also be sustainable where as just cutting out everything & eating lettuce you’ll more than likely crack within days and revert to junk food.

Hi. As others have said I hope you weren't serious about the Lettuce diet? However you do need to have a low-carb lifestyle and to keep you feeling full, have enough proteins and fats together with veg and non-tropical fruit.

Lettuce has about 150 Calories per kg. To eat a reduced Calorie diet of say 1500 Cals would mean eating 10kg of lettuce per day, a challenge even for a rabbit. That's assuming the suggestion was serious which I doubt.

I can only assume that you are not being serious about eating only lettuce.

Reduce your carbs by all means to help you lose weight but you do need to try and eat a balanced diet of sorts to obtain the correct nutrients to live

Eating only lettuce would almost certainly cause you serious medical issues

Glad I'm not the only one that finds it hard to take this as a serious post.
