I am finding I needing to bolus more for a salad than one would think. Lettuce seems to raise me far more than it should and require extra insulin. I am. It talking about a big salad either, just a few torn leaves. I am using Boston ( Bibb, better head) and or romaine. There is protein and fat in the meal as well and bs tends to rise later rather than sooner with the addition of lettuce.
Not sure what's going on but this happens regularly. I really don't want to do a second bolus for a few pieces of lettuce. Not sure if it's breaking down fast or slow.
Anyone else notice lettuce raising them beyond what one would think?
