I'm hoping I've posted in the correct place but apologies if I haven't. Ok, so brief background . .
I've had covid twice - in November 2022 and again in June 2023. My Hba1c has steadily been increasing and my most recent Hba1c was 80.
Advised to increase my prolonged release Metformin to 4x daily and now added in Gliclazide at 80mg. However, due to some blood glucose readings as very recently given a meter by DSN, they wanted to test for ketones. Readings had been as high as 19 and 20.3.
Did that this morning and husband dropped urine sample at surgery and I've had a call from the surgery. Thankfully no ketones but told I have leukocytes present in my urine. They are now sending it off to the lab for further testing as they suspect I have an infection.
I do pee at least once in the night (bladder wakes me up). Not noticed any stinging or burning though. However, after having a quick "Google" I do often have the sudden urge to pee and have to get to a toilet quickly! I do sometimes experience abdominal pain and nausea and vomit (usually this is early morning and before work).
Just a bit worried so any advice and help would be appreciated please.
