Poor grammar, bullying and drunks.
It is interesting, that like a lot people, I finish what is on my plate. If we were really eating to satiety then sometimes I would eat say 80% and then stop. Also the amount on the plate varies, especially when not serving myself but I finish it anyway or if the portion is small, say in a restaurant, I just shrug and think that will have to do. So at least for me the idea of eating to satiety doesn't apply.
Could this not be put down to upbringing or habit?
I do indeed leave food on my plate when I am satisfied and if there is too big a serving for me I know I won't finish it.
The differences I have seen by the change in macros is that now I know I will not be hungry two and half hours after a meal and start hunting for bickies or scotch eggs.

Yes it probably is. Having lived through the war and rationing, my mother regarded any wasted food as "wicked" and we were expected to finish what we were given. Fortunately her idea and subsequently mine, of how much food was reasonable seems to have served me well.
