Low carb bread

    Hi all, what’s the best low carb bread to go for? (In the uk)
    I’m missing bread big time

    There’s no true low carb bread, it’s just smaller, thinner slices. Most supermarkets stock it and there are plenty of recipes here. Make sure you test though.

    Sliced down the middle and filled with whatever you'd put between the bread slices?
    Or you could just eat the steak and be done with it.

    I make this one - 2tbsp ground almonds, 1tbsp psyllium husk, 1tsp baking powder, a sprinkle of nutritional yeast, salt and pepper, two beaten eggs. Mix in whatever container you want your bread to be, and microwave for 2 1/2 minutes. It rises quite a lot, and can be sliced when cool. 5g carbs the lot.

    But @Mel dCP has a great recipe and one I did myself when I was craving a little bit of bread @Paulm80

    Yeah 2.2 grams of carbs per slice? And you can make a whole pizza outta that!

    I only ordered 2 pieces at first to try it! Seems the best option out there tho

    Do some testing, it's the only way to find out if you can eat it safely and watch out for cravings.
