Open to misinterpretation though,
I assume you don't mean sausage and mash, fish and chips or curry and rice!

Yum.

I agree. It's probably from the Paleo lot, so plants excludes tubers, grains and legumes.

"No tubers, grains and legumes" (or sugar) is a pretty good prescription for low carb don't you think?

I dont eat animals
My staples are nuts & cheese, carrots & other veg, pulse, though I do eat eggs & meat.

The nuts provide plenty of protein, fats & fibre.

A friend of mine was in Scotland recently. When he had an evening meal at the hotel he was staying at he wanted some 'extra vegetables' with his steak and chips. They said 'certainly sir' and brought him more chips... :?

Best

Dillinger

nuts are not full of carbs. Ground almonds are used in lots of low carb recipes.

24 g per 100g? Low?!

I'm glad I don't use the same brand as you!! I bake a lot and was short, so got some today, I am sitting with the bag here.

Sainsbury's ground almonds - carbs 6.5g per 100g. What brand are you using?

I had to check the ground almonds for myself - here's the info for the Sainsburys ground almonds in case anyone was worried about the carb content. I've highlighted the carbs to make it easier to see:
