Hi All,

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, I tried searching and only found very old posts.....

Having signed up for the "Low Carb Program" back in May last year, I logged on today to find that it will now cost a whopping C$53 to log into the site.

As I need help with my carb intake, and what foods are available that I could eat, I was hoping to see if the Low Carb Program would help, as trying to figure out what carbs each individual food has is driving me absolutely BATTY !

C$53 is above my budget, unfortunately. Does anyone know of any other low carb site that actually states the food, and carbs of same?

Again, apologies if this has been stated elsewhere...... am rapidly getting to the end of my tether with all the foods I can't eat, and really want to find what is available that is actually tasty :) (from an ex-sugar junky)

Best,
Jeannie Ross

I signed up for the Low Carb Program last May when it was free too, I can still access it without paying so I guess you should be able to too. However you could always take a look at Diet Dr too:

Thank you so much Rachox, for your reply and suggestion. Try as I might, I can't avoid the 'give us money' popup, whichever computer or browser I use. Am now avidly reading through Diet Dr atm!

What about a free carb counting app like Cronometer.com? It’s good for carb counting and also tracks your macros and nutrients. I find the calorie bit a bit annoying as not trying to look at this just my carbs, fats and proteins but you can ignore the bits of info you don’t want it’s an excellent tool and you get some good visual graphs. You can pay for a premium version but you don’t need it I don’t. Good luck diet dr is my fave site. I’m still a free member of low carb programme but rarely use it prefer diet dr and cronometer app.

Thank you for your input Shelley.
For the last week I've been trying several carb counting apps, and the current one is "MyPlate", but that is very fiddly trying to add products it doesn't recognise.
I will most definately d/l Cronometer and give that a go.
Have a great day !

Thanks so much, Incyb and Madmaureen (love that nic!)
I used to use MyFitnessPal (pre diabetes) as it synced to my Fitbit, but stopped when I had to start keeping ongoing tabs on bs. Maybe I'll ressurect that, as well as having a lookeesee at Cars and cals.......

I have free access to the low carb problem but have never used it, as I don't like the way it tried to "drip feed" me information. I make use of the diet doctor site, or just google "carb in xxx".

The low carb program is aimed at people who are not "self-directed learners", hence someone being on this forum is a good indication someone is better off using diet doctor.

I found the same. I preferred to find my own way. I wish I could donate my free access to someone who could benefit from it!

Snap! Also I couldn't always find the nutritional info of the recipes, or they didn't seem to be that low carb.
