Low Carb Xmassy Deliciousness

Seems like a good time to bump this thread... since we are just a month from the 2020 festivities.

Well...if ya gonna resurrect a thread....

make it a Blooming GOOD UN...

Not a lover of Chrimbo, but oh my, the food always looks so GOOD,
what a great idea.

thanks for the Nudge..

We go through the busy day which is Christmas Eve with home made party food (smoked salmon on tiny squares of LivLife bread, Prawns/crab meat on Mini Gem leaves, Feta on half cherry tomato with black olive, Parma ham on melon, Nigella’s Devilled eggs, Pigs in blankets, Spiced biscuits in Christmas shapes for those who can). This year I will be adding Bacon & leek fritatas from Sainsbury's party range only 1.8 g carbs each. Son is great for knocking these up and when we have friends round for a couple of hours early evening its such a nice relaxed start to Christmas. On Christmas Day we have our main meal at 5pm in candlelight and again have the finger food with champagne at noon.

Ah this restrictive diet that we are all on...even though it's still only November!

Last year I didn't bother with much - just a good steak on Xmas Day, and a case of food poisoning at a Family Party cos I had a single carby samosa. Hey ho.
But this year, I'm planning a bit more decadence. Still low carb. Probably keto.

Thanks for those!

Excuse me, I am trying to get back on the OMAD milarkey after a couple of months, and my tummy was a rumblin and a tumblin even before I saw those pictures

I discovered this last year in the nearest posh garden centre - and loved it.
Found it again today in Morrisons, and bought 5.
I heartily recommend it to those who crave the usual mince pies.

yes, it has dried fruit and a little gluten and some carbs.

but it is significantly lower carb than a standard mp, and IMHO it is nicer.

We have two boxes of low carb Banana Prawns like this one in the freezer for the holiday.
