Have recently been diagnosed with type 2, having been pre diabetic for a while. Had my first appointment today with specialist nurse who was very nice, but not very helpful in terms of recommended diet, told me I could still eat chocolate but a little at a time.
I was given a magazine that seems to be written by Diabetes.org.uk. They recommend low fat and a fair amount of carbohydrate. This site recommends high fat low carb.
Have been fairly low carb for a while, but find I lack energy and lose weight very slowly, if at all. Am taking Metformin.
Should I go for more carbohydrate to give me energy or go for really low carb and higher fat
