I can't stand Lucozade, with or with out sugar. To be fair I haven't tasted sugar free and don't wish to.
Edited to say, well done to the Op for the alert, as I know many do drink it.
I have eaten so many jelly babies since being diagnosed .....
They are my "go to" sweetness if I start to go hypo (all too often these days)
Thank you for asking - I am on 80gr Glic per day - and no, the doc does not know about the hypos yet. I think its partly because I changed my lifestyle since April 2016 and am hitting the gym and eating less carbs. I don't snack inbetween meals.I completely appreciate this is off-topic, so apologies to the OP, and I won't clog your thread, but @magsiesss - does your Doc know you have lots of hypos? Are you still taking Gliclazide in the same dosage?

I am on holiday next week and if it all doesn't settle down, will make an appt to see him. I think I need to come off the Glic but wanted my bloods to stabilise (I thought it might be because I have recently reduced my Glic dosage).
I don't mind lucozade (wouldn't chose it as a drink to quench my thirst like some non diabetics do tho) I do get sick of it tho.
Are u a jelly babies kinda girl for hypos? I think my problem would be - I probs wouldn't stop at 3/4 like others say they do, as in hypo u know u just keep loading sugar in. Where as I know how much lucozade to drink to bring me up but not over do it.
Have u ever tasted hypo stop? Blurrrggghhhh that is disgusting!

Hi Tanny, I mainly use dolly mixtures, foam bananas and foam shrimps, plus GF digestives as a follow up. I was given Lucozade once in Morrison's supermarket (an embarrassing hypo) years ago and I was refusing to drink it, it tasted disgusting, but the help and support from the supermarket was very good.
I have tasted hypo stop and yes it is disgusting, but I don't use it, my granddaughter has hypo stop in her diabetes bag.
Jelly babies are great plus most of the time they actually keep your sugar sustainedI agree - I would have used that if it had not been pointed out to me.
I have heard a few people use jelly babies - think I might give them a try @Juicyj

I can only find the reduced sugar one ..didn't buy itMy mum used to have the glucose tablets from Boots. I think she had the purple ones. I tried a bottle of that sugar free lucozade the other day and I am going to try the pink lemonade next as I wasn't too keen on the orange flavour.
