I'm building a wine cellar ( cupboard) and just wonderd what you other lads did with your cupboards to keep yourselves happy , as I've just started to get the racking in mine . It should hold a bout 600 bottles when finished I think that will make me very happy :dead:

Wow I couldn't keep wine lol nag enough to get it to 600 bottles! Sounds like an amazing cupboard! My hubby doesn't have a cupboard he has a draw. Couldn't begin to list what's in there other than to say if you need even the most obscure thing you'll find in the draw!

* long enough- stupid predictive text!

Depends what's in the bottles, really. A collection of rare single malts - excellent; a few dozen bottles of premier cru Burgundies - fine. A lifetime's supply of Dandelion and Burdock - not so much :)

My cupboard is my back room, where I practically live, it is my man cave!
All my momentos and trekkie, football stuff is everywhere in my cave. I watch the footie without being harassed. And the OH lounges in the lounge!

I have to give the malt a miss made myself very ill with it along with a messy divorce, so now stick to good French reds a lot from small vineyards, 11 dozen bottles around the house better half says get your cupboard racked out :)

I used to have a similar problem with brandy - I got very drunk once, as a teenager, and for years the smell of brandy was enough to make me feel nauseous. I have managed to overcome this in more recent years, and occasionally enjoy a drop of Courvoisier, but a good malt is still my tipple of choice.

I have the same problem with champagne, one whiff & my tum starts heaving
