Customer helplines that use recorded menus that promise to put me through to the right person but never do - and being ill. Oh, and did I mention customer helplines :)
For the last couple of days I have been suffering a terrible dose of Man Flu, probably the worst known strain of the common cold :( My wife also has it but on a much smaller scale, but thats a given

Shame they cant give us a shot against it when you get our annual flu jab

But the shot will have side effects of man flu too :) Plus sore arm.

Too late Ken !

Anyway all women know that men are very.... erm.... " delicate " when it comes to ' Man flu '.

See what you've started Sid ! We are outnumbered by about 20 to 1 on here. So we are on a hiding to nothing ! Have you forgotten the oath we all took at the meeting ?

I'm seriously going to have to review your membership - AGAIN.

I knew when the chips (Rustic of course) were down you would desert me Sue.

To Sid and Ken and any other poor sufferers or potential sufferers
The remedy for man flu. A large measure of whiskey,a slice of lemon ,a couple of cloves,a shake of cinnamon ,and hot water.
Repeat as often as required (or as often as wife will make it for you)
My old GP a family Doctor of the old school and a scotsman to boot recommended this it may not cure the cold(sorry flu) but it will make you feel much better :D

You're a star ! My kind of woman ....... :D. Mind you, forget the Cloves, Cinnamon, water and lemon just a single Malt whisky, by that I don't mean just one.
My favourite single malt took 100's of years to perfect and another 21 yrs ageing - why on earth would I want to soil it with other stuff ? Sacrilege !

As for you Sue I suppose in your way you are helping us poor men who have to suffer untold hardships from this insidious malady but why do I detect a certain hint of sarcasm in your tone !
You will have to do better than that to redeem yourself

Thanks for all your sympathy everyone I shall struggle on for a couple more hours and then I have a bottle of Famous Grouse that I intend to acquaint myself with, purely for medicinal purposes of course

Ken
Perhaps you need 2 bottles 1 to add the lemon etc to and a Glen Grant to take the taste away :!:

Carol.
Make it a 21 year old Glenfiddich and in the interests of bowing and scraping to the fairer sex - I'll give it a try ! Trust me.

So......one Glenfiddich before the toddy then one after to take away the taste....

You'll still have the cold but you will be too mellow to care.

Now you're talking ! I'm sure it will help lower my bg level too ? TBh, I'm note sure I care anymore - all this talk of Whisky must have jogged something in the grey cells - I'm on my 4th already ! :D

I do care Sid but you let the brothers down by going public. :(

It would almost be worth getting the cold, shall we all go round to Sids :?:
