I started the ND 06/08/17 and was 15st 2lb
I am watching "Peerless" as started the week before me on 01/08/17
Peerless is trailblazing the way as I can see what is possible and what I may expect.
I have completed week 3 this morning
My fbg this week has been 6.1, 6, 6.2 but the his morning was 7.2
My weight has gone from 15st 2lb down to 13st 9lbs
I was taking maximum meds for T2 and Dr wanted to put me on insulin injections which prompted me to do the ND with his agreement.
I now take zero meds, not just for T2 but don't take any of the associated meds such as Atorvistatin for cholesterol, Losartan for blood pressure (my by last night was 121/76 - Normal
I don't have to take Omezaprole for my stomach as the meds no longer give me stomach problems.
Taking zero meds is great!
I am sticking to the original ND, I.e. Shakes x 3 per day and making up to 800 calories with non-starchy vegetables only.
I haven't managed to reach 800 calories and usually am around 609-700 per day.
The shakes I am using are only 100 calories each so 500 calories of veg is quite a lot.
I am pleased how things are going. My target weight is 12st 8lbs (15% of my starting weight) so I need to lose 3lb p/week for the remaining 5 weeks. I had a day were I put 2lb on which weakened my resolve but a few people on here (crook, fleegle and a Peerless, to name but a few, gave me encouragement). It came good in the end so if you hit a wall, keep chipping away and it will come down.
