Nobody I know recognises this symbol for diabetes. Perhaps we need to get out more lol !

This new symbol will take some time to get to be 'recognised' .

Why cant they leave things alone eh?
its like the old and new HbA1c readings, they changed these now its the diabetes symbol .

All diabetesuk literature is changing over to this light blue colour and is easily confusing folk . :?
It used to be the hummingbird symbol and was both popular and familar .

Cool 8)
What you will be having done I wonder

As you're tattooist is a good one , given the work and skill with your Koi Carp .

Yes make sure you're okay with your sugars and take along something to eat and drink .

Cant wait to see the new piccy's ...

The new blue circle diabetes symbol has got me thinking :shifty:
Once it 'does' become well known and familar, I can see myself having one done
around the Diabetic word on my left wrist . [only a small circle - like]
Hope the powers that be 'dont' change the symbol 'again' though

Anyone know what light blue ink fades and wears like on the skin ?

Have seen a young muscular bloke with a black circle around his Diabetic Type1 tattoo .
It looked well done and cool on him - was too shy to ask him about it though
He might have thought it strange with little 'ole me' asking him about it !

There are some young girls who have a ribbon tattoo aside their Diabetes word on their wrists .

Smiffy am I developing the itch you mention ?
When you start to get creative in mind over 'another tattoo' ?

Anna.

Deanna.

It is natural to feel a bit nervous [I was too] :)

Remember to keep an eye on your blood sugar levels before, during and after .
Take something to eat and drink along .

Have you designed your own tattoo ?
When its done , pop back and let us know how things went .
This can help others who may wish or be thinking of getting one done .

Anna.

Blueeyed81 .

OOOOHHH thats nice flower and butterflys power !!!
Whats the story behind this ?
One thing I love about tattoo's is most have a personal story to the wearer . :D
I love hearing when people tell you what they mean or represent to themselves personally.
Not in a 'nosey way' like but in genuine interest way , some tales are AMAZING .

The pale blue with the black swirl and dots of your tattoo has 'so' caught my eye :o
It looks really nice and is a lovely contrast of colours - I like that

Am rattling thoughts around and need to get this one right ...
If this new light blue circle stays with us as the Diabetes international symbol
then I am strongly tempted to get it done around my Diabetic word on my left wrist .

Anyone 'know' why light blue was colour choice of the new symbol ?

Anna.

Anna.. I knew you wanted more! All the quizzing/questioning lol
I like the ribbon but wouldnt suit me.
