Just had an alarm "insulin flow blocked". In the pic it is saying 4.650 units delivered. Pump saying I needed 9.6. Do I try to deliver the 5 units again???

If I get this warning then yes I deliver the extra 5 units and monitor carefully afterwards, have you just done a set change ?

Yeah set change last night into my leg. may have caught the tubing just now when I got my phone out to enter the details onto xdrip.

Would you suggest another set change when I get home from work?
Delivered the other 5 units without a problem

No worries @porl69 I know you have the libre to monitor, however it's happened to me too quite a few times and I always deliver the extra, also in regards to the set change I don't change mine if all's fine afterwards and insulin delivery looks ok without raised BG levels, if BG levels are raised without a reasonable explanation then change.

This happens to me quite a bit. It’s normally after a set change where it is a bit savage inserting. Feels like the tissue is plugging off the cannula. I’ve learnt to always take notice of the dose required now so I can top up with a manual bolus if needed.

Oddly enough I had a set change issue this morning, was running around 6, did the set change, no insulin fill issues but BG levels went up to 13.3 and as i'd already left for work I had to keep correcting, still now sat at 11.4, so still correcting and unable to do anything till I get home later though now.

@Juicyj do you have any syringes?
I was prescribed a set of syringes as soon as I was given my pump.
I am able to use these (filling from the pump cartridge) if I have problems with my pump when out and about (saves me carrying pens and cartridges around with me all the time).
To be honest, I have only used these when my pump battery expired unexpectedly but I was glad I had the option.

Thanks @helensaramay i have but they were at home I normally do set changes in the evening so I can keep an eye but my site had become sore so was keen to stick a fresh one on this morning, have just had my second hypo of the day so it's definitely working ok now, Never a dull moment !!

@Juicyj - I always keep a syringe in my Cables Bag. It intrigues my colleagues when I need to connect my laptop to a monitor to present and call it my Junkie-Cable Bag.
Glad your pump is working now.

I'm in the habit of carrying about four spare cannulas, at least one spare battery, reservoirs, insulin, anchor tape... Plus syringes and/or pens if I'm going far.
