If you ask a medic that question, you'll get the standard reply, "Everyone is different". I daresay that is true but it wasn't very helpful.
There was an article in Balance, several years ago, which gave me more information than I'd received from the hospital or general practice. If you can get your hands on that, I'm sure it will be of some help. It is useful to find out what COULD happen rather than being given the standard response.
I can't remember the article now but can tell you that some ladies have a reduction in insulin requirements (I came into that category).
I was worried I might not be able to tell the difference between hypos and hot flushes but with me there was a difference - maybe I was lucky!
My GP told me that because my mother had a difficult time, I could be the same - thankfully I wasn't, otherwise my diabetic control would have suffered.
. . . It's true, everyone IS different!
