Metformin or Stomach Bug

Diabetes!! People who dont understand. Being overweight and hungry.
For 2 days I had a stomach bug, but I was also wondering if it could be from the Metformin, so yesterday I only had one of my daily 3, and started to feel better, today I ate 2 slices of Burgen toast and took a Metformin, and Im feeling slightly sick again, even though I have still got the stomach pains. So Im not sure if its still the bug or the Met doing it, but what I have noticed today is my stomach is bloated again like before I started on the Met, so Im a bit confused.

Metformin made me very sick and nauseous so they gave be 'low sick version' the same best thing to do is ask to try another drug? If possible

Im almost sure its the Metformin making me feel like this, I want to stop taking it over the weekend and see if I can get an appointment at the doctors on Monday. Is it advisable to stop? I really dont want to feel like this all weekend if I dont have to.
