apart from having to include the carbs in the milk, i cannot think of any reason why there would be a reason for most diabetics to be told not to have milk. Can you tell me where you heard this please? Everything i have googled has said the opposite.I heard somewhere that some Diabetes specialists don't recommend Milk at all to their patients is it just because of sugar and is there any kind of Milk you can get without sugar?
So does Almond milk not contain sugar then?Doing a quick Google it appears that milk has a carbohydrate value which is from the lactose in it.
Again from doing a search it seems that Almond Milk has virtually no carb value, but you'd have to check on that.
HTH

Oh that sounds great 0.1g!!!!I have the chilled Alpro soya light, has 0.1g sugars and 0.1g carbohydrates per 100ml

What's the sugar in it? is it just sugar we have to look out for or carbs too?You can get lacto free milk but I'm guessing it is going to be more expensive than the ordinary stuff. Almond milk is not to my liking but my youngest loves it.

You may well find that most cafes and restaurants have Sweetened Soya "milk" which is not to be recommended at all.. I personally wouldn't have unsweetened either but just asking for soya "milk" (its not actually allowed to be called milk in the UK) may mean you get the sweetened version. Most cafe's and restaurants have soya milk so just ask.

sugars are often another word for carbs. All carbs turn to sugar (glucose) in our bodies.Does it contain sugar?
