Milk

just as good as it is for a non diabetic............

do you mean is it bad for blood sugar.........?

everyone is different.......there's not much carb in it though.....at least in things like tea/coffee or breakfast cereal.....

Yes it's good for you but it contains lactose, another form of sugar so you need to inject quick acting for it if drinking a glass or more as contains carbs.

I tend to prefer full fat milk simply because I seem to end up using less and therefore less lactose.

Also I prefer my brew to be nice and hot :)

Milk is a good source of calcium and Vit D, I prefer semi-slimmed over skimmed and full fat, it contains 5g of carbs per 100ml, if you were to drink a glass of milk then you would need to test your postprandial bg levels to see what effect it has.

I just use milk in my morning porridge and for tea and coffee and very rarely now drink it on its own, if your concerned about the carb content then look for Lactofree milk as it contains around half the carbs as standard milk.

Yes, it's very good for you! All those vitamins and protein. What's not to like? It's my favorite drink when I wish to push my blood sugar up by just a little. And it's good post-exercise because a glass of milk is like a protein-shake only less sweet (usually) and has about the right amount of protein. It's great stuff. Also I have it in my porridge in the morning, and in my coffee.
