Monitoring Machine

Hi, as my new diabetes appointment is not for 3 weeks have decided to get a monitoring machine. Have been looking an Amazon and found one, just wondered before I purchase whether anyone has any recommendations?

Search on here. Tee 2 and SD Codefree have cheap strips.

Someone will give you the details which I've forgotten.
 
You have made a very wise decision.

The most popular meters for self funding T2's are the Codefree and the Tee2 because the strips are much cheaper than other meters, and you need a lot of strips. You can't buy them in pharmacies.

Thank you so much, after reading your comments yesterday, I was like no 3 weeks is too long to wait. I have assume I am type 2 at this stage, if I need to buy something different down the line I will.

If you need any help on using your meter effectively once it arrives, just ask. You also will need a food diary. I use an excel spread sheet, but anything will do.
 
I have used the SD Codefree for over 6 years now and had reliable and good testing from it. I have not tried the Tee2.

Thank you, I will start that as well at least I will feel like I am doing something.
