My journey to control was many many months long and the fluctuation of my BSLs took a serious impact on my life the constant hypers and hypos followed by more of the same day and night! The strain was unbelievable especially with work, a very close family and grandkids. It was not fun and I shouted and screamed because of the frustration and depression, the anxiety, the forgetfulness and the sheer anger that there was something going on with my body and no one would listen to me.
I empathise and sympathise with all diabetics who have to go through this horrible mind set.
I learned to isolate myself turned to listening music, watched the tele and tried to turn my condition off.
Through the sleep depravation, the weird dreams, the thought of having to work, when you feel like ****! The drudgery of of British weather, it really is a downer sometimes that you just can't get out and have a walk when you can't sleep in the middle of the night especially when it's raining cats and dogs!
It still annoys me that doctors don't have the time to really look after you and you are left to fend for your selfs.
I'm so glad I found this forum and the wonderful caring people on here!
Without their help god knows where I would be!
