morning readings high can anyone look at my levels ?

My morning levels are consistently higher than I would like sometimes worryingly so.....

5.4 - 7.6 - 9.4 - 11.2 - 6 - 7.5 - 11.7 - 5.5 - 4.9 - 11.4 - 7.2 - 12.6 - 8.7 - 11.2

There didn't seem to be any reason it was just pot luck. As someone suggested doing a test every hour during the night to see if it was the dawn thing i did so last night. Results as follows...

20:00 - 8.7
21:00 - 3.5
22:00 - 4.2
23:00 - 4.2
00:00 - 4.2
01:00 - 4.1
02:00 - 4.3
03:00 - 5.3
04:00 - 6.3
05:00 - 7.0
06:00 - 6.2
07:00 - 6.8
08:00 - 7.0
09:00 - 6.6
09:32 - 5.7

So I am now tired but dont feel I have learned much ... was dawn hiding from me :lol: or is there another explanation ??? Any help appreciated as I really want to nail this

Also forgot to add that I take 30 u levemir at night next step on my plan was to split the dose ?????

DP will not cut in unless you have been deeply asleep. It is your body getting itself ready for when you do wake up and need the energy to maybe rush out with your spear and bag the family a passing mamoth :shock: ....well, not exactly these days but its an inherited thing that we as humans are stuck with. If you have only been dozing and testing hourly, DP will probably not affect you.

Hi,

I don't want to make a fuss but i notice you mention you take insulin? your profile only states you take oral medication.

But you testes 4 times and you was almost under four? did you not treat this? as it's not really safe to stay at that level if you are taking insulin.

I see you never went below four and in the mornign ended up with a good reading but that would worry me personally?
