My first 3month HbA1c

Friday I received my first 3 month test after being diagnosed and it was down from 56 to 28 and cholesterol 4.78, I am thrilled to say the least and so is my doctor but the dietitian was not! She said I should be eating rice, potatoes and other starchy foods per day, I said they spike me and she said that's what we want?! She totally doesn't agree with LCHF diet and cream in coffee was a definitely no no! She has really played with my head Oh and as for having a blood testing meter I won't even go into that

Ah! I can shed some light on why your dietitian thinks you need to eat starchy foods etc and produce the odd spike here and there - simple reason is that she lacks the training and/or the will to talk through the correct end. I would completely avoid being anywhere near anyone who can have a negative impact on the amazing progress you have made. Don't waste your time. My own diabetes consultant spoke to me at length on these kind of dinosaurs. Well done, you!

I’ve added plant based “soya butter” to my fried eggs for breakfast and to brown rice with beans for lunch.

I feel so full and satiated and don’t feel hungry anymore between meals.

Thank you so much for your advice!

What else can I eat so that I won’t feel hungry?

Andrew

Remember that the dietitian exams and training, along with their continued licencing to under the control of a "professional" body, that accepts money from companies like Coca-Cola and vegetable oil makers. Therefore the few dietitians who have a brain of their own, have to choose between losing their licence (and hence not being able to work) and us losing our feet.....
