My Ozempic

I’m on metformin and will be given my first dosage of Ozempic.. I’ve read so much about Ozempic that I’m still not sure how I will cope with the side effects. I’m dreading the impact it will have on daily life.
I understand that it will be given on a weekly bases. But I’m not looking forward to the jab even though it’s only just under the skin.

I understand that the overall effect is a good one and I’m hoping that the majority of Ozempic users are more than glad to share their opinions but I still have my doubts because I have poor k function. Which is a great concern to me.
Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.
 
I’m on Ozempic for quite a few months now and the only side affect I have is being randomly sick.

Hi. Has Ozempic been prescribed for weight reduction? Have you tried a low-carb diet prior to this?
 
My BG are 10.2 mmol/I which has remained the same for over a month. The Doctor has advised me to take the Ozempic to reduce BG down to 6. mmol/l on the plus side I could loss some weight.
I’m hesitating or should I say not looking forward to the Ozempic because I’m more worried about the k and what might happen when I’m on Ozempic.
I’m wondering whether anybody has had a bad experience relating to their k function by using Ozempic.

Been on ozempic 1 ml dose for 6 weeks. I have diabetes 2 which was under control. My GP put me on it as I'm overweight. In that time I have lost over 11.7 kgs . I have several side affects in first 5 weeks .diarrhea. feel sick like going to vomit . Still have diarrhea but rest of side affects are gone. Take a while for your system to get use too I was told . Can be different side affects and length they last is different for everyone. For me it's worth it but it's hard in beginning.

Weak kidney function is one contra-indication., but there are studies that claim Ozempic is benficial for kidney function. Jury seems to be out still.
