Since coming off the statins a few weeks ago, my morning blood sugar has been averaging in the 7's

I am just looking at other ways I could potential lower this with natural supplements or perhaps eating a snack before bed.

Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm not aware of any natural supplement that has much of an effect. You might be better testing your sugars 2 hours after a meal rather than fasting test as the latter are affected by the Dawn Phenomenon. Why would a snack before bed help? Really the only way to reduce sugars is a lower carb diet and/or meds.

Totally agree here. - And I kind of wonder why going off statins would lower or raise your blood suger numbers?

All I can say, is that what appears to have happened with the statins

aside my diet, in the last 3 months I've been taking spirulina tablets which found to be helpful to diabetic type 2 in few studies

The only help is you, depending on your symptoms and age etc. you can eat healthier, by following low carbs etc. exercise to fit your needs

The drugs are there for what you can't control by the means above. Everyone is different! There is no miracle cure! There is no easy way out! Unfortunately!
7 is on the limit, do you suffer with Dawn Syndrome?
