Hello everyone, I am newly diagnosed. Not exactly sure what I have. I had an eye exam and was referred to my GP as the optician was concerned about the hemorrhaging he saw on the back of my eyes. Had a blood test and received a letter confirming diabetes but there was no further information on the letter, I was asked to book an appointment with the diabetes nurse which isn't until 9th May.
I feel like I have been cut adrift a bit. I bought a BG test machine which I am not sure was a good idea. I have very high readings. I don't feel ill although I suspect I have just got used to feeling ok in my own body. I have taken the last 2 weeks to cut down on all kinds of bad food and have been exercising every day, well over 30 minutes of full on heart racing stuff. Walking a lot, getting better sleep, drinking more water etc.
I am probably over thinking it and need to be more patient.... a patient patient.
Anyway HELLO!
