Hi @ChloeFr and welcome to the forums. You are definitely not alone.
Though T1 diabetes can be quite a scary diagnosis the good news that it is possible to learn to live with it and modern medical treatments for T1 are getting better all the time.
And it should get easier with time, as you get the hang of insulin and how it interacts with your metabolism. Have you already been started with insulin? (Some people have slow onset T1 and don't need it immediately).
Feel free to browse round the forums and don't hesitate to ask any questions that you feel like asking.

hello. Of course, you are not alone, I believe there are several thousand of us here
let me try to say something good about diabetes, because you can read the bad stuff without me. There is an opinion that diabetes slows down aging. A few injections a day may seem intimidating, but the needle in the syringe handles is only 6 mm and it is practically not felt. In addition, insulin is such a wonderful thing that with it you can lead an absolutely normal lifestyle and eat almost anything you want, as well as exercise.
Hi and welcome. The needle size for many of us is even better than 6mm at 4mm and not a problem. It may be a nuisance but you do get used to using insulin and we all have to use it eventually as T1/LADA.
