After introducing myself and giving background I now have questions. If anyone would be able to answer any for me that would be great, while hubby is getting info and advice from doctors I'd like to get it from real people who live through it. I'm sorry if anything I ask or say seems stupid or dumb but all so new to me.
This came out of nowhere and within a short space of time (6week's), how common is that to happen?
His blood sugar was 32 when we got to hospital, I no that's high but how high is it, I mean could he have slipped into a coma or died?
What can I do to help him, diet wise?
Are there any things I should/shouldn't do to help him?
I don't want to really bug him but need to understand more so I'm not totally useless.
Also, our 2yr old daughter... have any of you had to explain to your child why you/mummy/daddy etc stick needles in themselves 4 Times a day, if so what did you say? Right now she saw daddy and the monitors and tubes really worried her, not scared just worried cos daddy doesn't get sick.
Any help or advice would be so appreciated guys and again, sorry if I'm being dumb here.
Thank you in advance
Emma xx
