Nigh night, sleep tight....sweet dreamsMe too so used to working nights, but i will take the ladies advice talk to you later.xx
What you do is tell them all to back off !!!! It is time to explain a few home truths to them all. They have to realise the damage they are doing with their constant nagging. I know it isn't easy to tell family stuff like that but if you don't then your health is going to get worse and worse to the point where you won't be able to work. You are stressed out of your head and that won't do you any good at all. Not sure about the sleep machine....never had any dealings with them but if it's going to stress you even more maybe leave it till you feel calmer and less wound upWell got woke up at 5-30 by my boss asking if i could start at 4am on monday, won`t repeat what i said to him but its lucky i still have a job then the wife phoned "nag nag nag nag" ended up putting the phone down on her and the day just went down hill from there, wife daughter grand kids all day long.
Full blown head ache by midday tightness in chest eating all the wrong foods bg levels all over the place and to cap it off some guy turned up from the hospital with a sleep arrhythmia machine this evening you should see it about the size of half a brick wires every ware how the hell am i going to sleep with that dam thing strapped to my chest ?
Short of leaving the country i don`t know what to do.
I just hate to hear that you are in so much pain and it can be avoided if people just back off and shush up. You feared it was cluster headaches and hearing it wasn't should be great news but it is in fact almost worse because you can't stop the insensitivity of others. These are the people who should be supporting you....not causing you so much pain and stress. You really will have to talk to them. I know your wife refuses to even discuss your diabetes....maybe because deep down she either doesn't understand it or is maybe a little afraid of it? Your kids and grandkids just need a good talking to. They have to understand whats happening here. As for the machine...okay it's one night....you can do this. I'm not exactly sure if that has been sent to you as they are still thinking you have cluster headaches and not that they are now known to be caused by stress? Don't worry about the dietitian ..that is probably just normal for your doctors way of dealing with new patients with diabetes....to give you advice and talk about your diet. You have been doing great with your BG levels without their help so far and we all know how they give out the old fashioned advice to eat all the wrong things so put that out of your head and carry on doing what you're doing now...eating what your body is happy withUnfortunately i only have the machine for one night, ow and i had a phone call from my local diabetic dietitian, she wants me to go and see her next month that should be fun not.
Talking to you calms me down Gezzabelle and i can all ways move up to willenhall
Any way how are you, keeping well i hope.
Okay....so calm down and don't worry about it too much. Take tonight one step at a time and it might not be so bad. Sounds like you have to rearrange your pillows to make yourself more comfy. Hopefully you will be able to get some sleep and it will show that your levels aren't dropping with a bit of luck which will rule out having to sleep hooked up to machines in the future. Tonight is about finding out and whatever it shows you can deal with it...one step at a time....try not to stress and worry about what hasn't happened yetThe machine is to measure my oxygen levels because the doctor thinks my oxygen level may be dropping at night.
I agree....they have to see what all the stress is doing to you. I know what family is like...they often don't see things that are right under their noses. Maybe explaining to your wife is a good place to start. I don't have the right to judge any of them but they really have to make some kind of effort to support you. If they can't handle that then they simply have to back off and stop hassling you with thoughtlessness. They know you are ill and they have to take it on board and be a little more considerate. You have given your all to them for a lot of years and now it's time they gave a little back. The diet person is the least of your worries....you are doing fine with your BG levels. The oxygen machine is for now just one night. You can do thisYour right, i have to sit the family down and explain a few things to them can`t keep going on like this, as for every thing else i will just have to take it one day at a time i don`t think i could get through this with out your help and support xx
Just being there to listen to my woes is more than enough xI agree....they have to see what all the stress is doing to you. Porridge is a tricky one and a lot of members cannot tolerate it without their blood sugars rising.WHAT IS GOING ON had a fasting reading of 7.2 put that down to having to wear the machine all night, had breakfast small bowl of porridge and a coffee no sugar started felling unwell head came back with a vengeance did my 2 hour check 11.9 now my right eye has started watering .
Good morning....sorry to hear things don't seem so good today for you. Would I be right thinking you didn't sleep well? You did say yesterday that your sugars were all over the place so it isn't surprising they are high this morning. Like Catherine says...there could be more going on here than just your breakfast of oats. With all the stress going on I am sure that hasn't helped either. Try and calm down....I know that's easy for me to say but it will help.WHAT IS GOING ON had a fasting reading of 7.2 put that down to having to wear the machine all night, had breakfast small bowl of porridge and a coffee no sugar started felling unwell head came back with a vengeance did my 2 hour check 11.9 now my right eye has started watering .
