Thanks and quite right @Diakat. I have been known to go into the teens and I do have to bolus blast on occasions even on low carb if my BG is high and I'm eating a higher percentage of carbHi @SueJB It crossed my mind because you have previously said that with low carb you can often avoid the need for bolus and because the numbers that you repost are always so good. Most T1s see numbers in the teens now and then and even those on low carb need to inject. I am not a medic so that was why I asked how diagnosis was made.
Nice thought @KK123 and you may well be right. My original post was 28th. Yesterday afternoon BG 14.6 &12.8 (bolus blaster to the rescue)but dropped eventually to 6.7Hi Sue, you were diagnosed the same time as me then. Another thought if you had more carbs than usual over Xmas (as did I). I noticed if I do have a day or two of higher carbs, the next 2 to 3 days at least are always higher readings, up by around 2mmols. It seems to manifest in the days following the higher carbs, I think the day you mentioned was a day just after xmas? How are they now?
