Not really poisoning. Just like drinking too much water CAN kill you, eating exclusively rabbit meat can too. More a case of overwhelming your body's functioning.Protein poisoning? Can you explain?
Not sure I've heard that before.

From your own link.
"your liver can't process the huge amount of protein involved effectively, leading to ammonia buildup in the blood"
It poisons you by an ammonia build up. (Allegedly)
But it's not a can kill like water, exclusive rabbit will kill you.

I believe the 'death by water' is a lot quicker than 'death by rabbit'. A rabbit diet will bring on symptoms, which can then be alleviated through remedial action. I maintain a flirt with a rabbit-only diet can kill you, but only if you're stubborn enough to persist (people living in a wilderness don't always have options and die).
Geoff
You rebutted my 'can' and maintained it 'will'.
I don't think that's how GNG works. It's demand driven. One CAN go out of ketosis by eating too much flesh protein as 50 some percent turns to bs. Especially in the absence of carbs. I know I gluconeogenisis very quickly. I need the avocado to slow it down. I'd have very high bs eating more protein than I need.
That being said, I could live on moderate amounts of protein and avocado quite happily. I do like a few veggies though.
rabbit starvation is a reality. It happens when you eat loads of protein and not enough fat, your body can't process all the protein and so you don't get enough energy and starve. You rebutted my 'can' and maintained it 'will'.
I maintain it can.
Do you know personally of any individual who's died from adopting a rabbit-only diet ?
Informed meat-eaters know of the year-long experiment with a meat-only diet. Also that a lean meat diet is the best way to make someone ill. Rabbits are (forgive me) a bit of a red herring.

"The impossible we do immediately. Miracles take a bit longer." (not sure of origin)Don't be an ass, the meaning of the word is obvious. I won't be subject to **** like this, grow up.
So you saying the process is never reversible ? After one day ? After two ?rabbit starvation is a reality. It happens when you eat loads of protein and not enough fat, your body can't process all the protein and so you don't get enough energy and starve.
I don't deny it. I deny the accuracy of your portayal. I'm well aware of the end result of a lean meat-only diet. Stop tilting at windmills. It's well documented, and a scientific fact, but if you need personal experience to believe something, I can't help you there.
We all believe to whatever proof we need.
I was replying to the part, don't you need something else to give you the nutrition you need, and don't get on a ketogenic diet? Or something like that!I don't think this thread is about a ketogenic diet, though. "Zero carb" means no plant derived food - i.e. meat (beef, poultry, sheep, etc).and seafood only. So the term "zero carb" is not to be taken literally, as there are some carbs in animal derived food. Of course, zero carb is likely to be a ketogenic diet, but that's not really the purpose of the diet.
So you saying the process is never reversible ? After one day ? After two ?
Start a rabbit-only diet and death is assured ?
I've never heard of anyone goingon a rabbit-only diet and dying, other than hunters in the wild. Let's get real.

I didn't take it off topic. My last post concurs with your sentiment.Maybe you need a time out from the thread, before it goes too far off topic?
I think I shall leave you to it though.
Of course it's reversible: change your diet.So you saying the process is never reversible ? After one day ? After two ?
