Does anyone else have really vivid nightmares that wake them up when their blood glucose goes low overnight while sleeping?

Hi,

Yes I do. Not so much with sensor use these days.
But trigger dreams woke me when I was low.. even as a kid.

Usually bizzare or grotesque video game style distorted zombie/demonic shot em ups? (Usually trapped in a large sprawling house.)

Yep, I get this too. Normally nightmares about being out and about and not having insulin with me, weirdly enough. The most recent one was dreaming I'd gone to Glastonbury and someone nicked my tent with all my diabetes kit in it.

My Technicolor vivid dreams are not caused by hypos.
I have these dreams since young, most of them when my temperature has been above normal.
And my hypoglycaemic condition didn't develop till into my fifties.
I don't have the one theme but many. And they are not nightmares
My anxiety, stress related issues cause me to have dreams that undermine my efforts to cope with my former work places. I struggle in them so much. Just as I am now.
And had many recurring dreams and I do believe they reflect on past lives.
And yes, I am weird. And been told that by my specialist endocrinologist.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for sharing your experiences ❤️
It’s really reassuring to know that I’m not alone in this. Hearing your stories is ironically comforting. Sending good vibes to everyone ❤️
