Normal B12 ranges.....same for all?

I had my B12 levels checked. They are at 682. Flag range is like 200-900. So, I am squarely in normal ranges. That being said, I have heard of some people feeling better at higher ranges. I also noticed my B12 two years ago was at like 1800. Thoughts? Should I supplement?

Blooming great score.
Mine were barely half of that.

Interesting question.
I suppose it is possible, after all we all seem to have some sort of natural running temps for so many processes inside of us

Can't say I have read anything about that though
One I will now keep an eye out for when I come across B12 articles .

Who tests this?

as in 'in general who measures it for us ..Doctors.. and some online site will do the measure i believe

for me it was doctors after requesting..3rd hba1c read and not done up until my request.
Diabetic on metformin, i doubt they would query, it's in the notes on the meds themselves that it can cause issues.
Diabetic not on met, not sure, but i'd say ask, and stress it.

if you've not been tested i'd say definitely ask for it.
it is important to know where you stand range wise, so you could take action if needed.

if the question is more why test..then i would politely suggest reading up a little,
metformin and Age (50+) can impact T2d , B12 depletion is a serious subject..

to my mind it hit me like T2 dx did.
"oh, T2..nice ..i just take a tablet, so ill be fine"..type of way

until i read the horror stories of what T2 could actually mean.:wideyed:

same with B12.
it helps wraps up our nerve ending, and can contribute to serious health conditions,
possibly irreversible once we get too low.

Very interesting post/video all round, from @Indy51
min 28.40 is the pointer here

There are a small number of blood tests where the range, is specific to the testing laboratory.
This accounts for some of the differences.
